Greg R. Fishbone is an author of humorous books for young readers.
Publishers Weekly called his Galaxy Games series “every alien-obsessed kid’s dream come true!”
His school and library programs are kid-friendly and engaging.
Greg is a certified English teacher with extensive experience speaking in the classroom. He loves to discuss the writing process with students of all ages and engage them in workshop activities. The Galaxy Games series can also serve as a jumping-off point for discussions of world culture or science.
The Challenges of Writing The Challengers includes an extensive discussion of Japanese culture and also touches on some of the other 36 countries represented on Earth’s Galaxy Games team
The Science of Galaxy Games ranges from astronomy to zoology. Kids will learn about the search for extraterrestrial life, the discovery and cataloging of exoplanets, and the techniques that authors use to create memorable and realistic aliens for their stories.
Playing the Galaxy Games introduces a version of the fictional game that can be played in real life, and has been successfully implemented in physical education classes.
